Born in 1939, Peter Chope spent his youth in Sao Paolo, Brazil where he began his love affair with color and art. When his family returned to California, Peter attended the Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. After graduation, Peter formed an advertising agency, Peter Chope and Associates where he shared his enthusiasm for color and art with many Silicon Valley clients. At 57, Peter decided it was time to pursue his passion for watercolors full time. He painted in the Sierra Mountains in the summer, and the desert during the winter selling his originals and prints to collectors around the world until his death in 2013. Now, Peter is represented by Tubac Art & Gifts where giclee prints of Peter's watercolors are available for purchase and here online. Occasionally originals are available for sale.
