Karol Honeycutt is strongly attracted to subjects that explore a female perspective. in her original fine art, simplicity is her primary goal. She often begins her more realistic works with a conceptual idea from a photograph and looks for ways to express human emotions through color and symbolism. “Color is the main ingredient and inspiration for my work,” Karol explains. “My paintings generally consist of many layers of  paint and spontaneous marks that transform into faces, figures, landscapes, and animals.” Karol works primarily in acrylic paint but also utilizes oil stick, graphite, and ink.
