I am an artist.

It has taken me seventy years to be able to say that. That might sound pathetic, but no matter how old you are, you know that needing money frequently supersedes everything else.

I got distracted in my late twenties, successful at other endeavors in my thirties, and before I knew it the money became more seductive than pursuing my passion for making art.

But during the pandemic everything changed. Art became my lifeline. I studied techniques. I became obsessed with You Tube. I ordered enough art supplies to keep the industry afloat. I had a blast. And then people started buying my work. 

Women my age were not raised to be confident and were never encouraged to put themselves out there, so the spark of confidence and encouragement I feel when connecting to a customer is magical. So for me, it is all about the connection.
